Shown as part of the GSA degree show 2017, '36,00ft 0mph' challenges the rate at which we observe, inviting viewers into the suspended non-space of memory. Each film stems from conversations that began with an ordinary, everyday sound. When presented out of context these sounds evoked unexpected memories and seemingly insignificant moments: the shape of the light or the sound of a radio. These conversations delve into a sense of depth in common, seemingly mundane spaces.
